Typhoo offers a range of different teas to help the food service sector tap into a market worth £529m a year.
With three-quarters of consumers saying that they consume food or drink on the go, the company has recently launched its On the Go Cup. This comprises a 12oz double-walled, premium-branded paper cup containing a Typhoo tea bag that just needs hot water, milk and sugar added.
Sales of caffeine-free fruit and herb teas offering specific health benefits have grown by more than 10% in the past 12 months, and the group's London Fruit and Herb brand offers a range in packs of 20 string tag and envelopes that includes Peppermint Tingle, Camomile & Honey, Lemon and Lime Zest, Blackcurrant Bracer, Orange & Ginseng, Super Fruits.
Speciality tea sales have grown in value by nearly 6% in the past year and Typhoo has a three-strong range - Assam, Earl Grey and English Breakfast - that is exclusive to the food service sector and is also sold in packs of 20 string tag and envelopes.
