Testo launches digital HACCP food safety system
Technology supplier Testo has launched a HACCP management system, the Testo 250, which digitally processes all measurements, checks and documentation relating to food safety.
HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) is a system that helps food business operators look at how they handle food and introduces procedures to make sure the food produced is safe to eat.
Essential for all companies in the food industry, HACCP normally requires large quantities of checklists, forms and documents, which can become a problem when, in cases of audits or complaints, clearly assigned proof needs to found quickly.
The Testo 250 uses paper-free documentation of HACCP processes, which can trace all quality data on a single device and improve the efficiency of processes with recordings, which can be used as proof of activity.
The new kit also includes The Testo 250 HACCP Cockpit (a web-based control centre) which allows operators to define the HACCP processes and correction measures for themselves; a tablet developed for use in rough, humid and busy surroundings; and the Testo 250 HACCP Check App, which is pre-installed on the tablet and guides the user through each individual step of the HACCP process.
The Testo 250 can also be quickly combined with an existing wireless LAN.
