Textile Services Association chief executive dies in car crash

Murray Simpson the chief executive of the Textile Services Association has been killed in a car crash.

It is thought he was involved in a collision involving a lorry and seven cars on the M1 on Tuesday evening. Three other people were taken to hospital, two with serious injuries.

The board of the Textile Services Association issues a statement confirming the tragic accident.

It said: "It is with regret and great sadness that we have to inform you that Murray Simpson was involved in a road traffic accident on Tuesday 25 November, which resulted in Murray being fatally injured. Our thoughts are with his family and close friends, at this difficult time. Murray was a larger than life figure in our industry and will be sorely missed."
