The Caterer's 2019 Product Excellence Awards: four weeks left to enter

There are just four weeks left to enter the 2019 PEAs, offering more exciting opportunities to showcase the best food, drink and equipment available on the market.

The Product Excellence Awards known as the PEAs are organised and hosted in association with headline sponsor Delaware North at the London Stadium, and associate sponsor the HRC show, two well-connected partners in the hospitality industry.

Entries are open to manufacturers, producers and suppliers of food, drink or equipment and judged by a panel of industry experts, with successful products receiving exposure to an extensive audience of potential customers.

Dan Featherstone, founder & CEO at snacks company, Made For Drink who won the snacking category at last year's PEAs, told The Caterer: "The ‘PEA's were an absolute game-changer for us. Foodservice is a key strand of our ambitious distribution strategy and thanks to our awards success we're enjoying real traction in an open-minded food arena, purpose-made for our artisanal snacks."

The three-course awards lunch, being held at the London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, on the 5 December will allow finalists and guests the opportunity to enjoy Delaware North's premium hospitality experience. A pre-Christmas event for suppliers and manufacturers to collectively celebrate their success.

Doug Tetley, managing director, said: "Delaware North is proud to sponsor the Product Excellence Awards for the second year running. The 2018 awards ceremony at the London Stadium saw an impressive array of suppliers from across the industry vying for the coveted awards.

"Innovative products deliver commercial success. Supporting quality and innovation in hospitality is an important part of Delaware North's commitment to reimagining tomorrow. As hospitality partners for the UK's most high-profile stadia, we are always reviewing our products and services to ensure the very highest quality experience for our guests."

Sam Chance, portfolio marketing manager at Fresh Montgomery, added: "We are proud to partner again with The Caterer on this year's Product Excellence Awards and aim to make sure the entire industry is aware of the fantastic new products available in the market. New for 2020, we will be showcasing the winning products at HRC on the 3-5 March at London ExCeL, providing the opportunity for visitors to understand exactly how they can add value to their business. Good luck to all who enter!"

Paul Rostand, founder of the Great British Biscotti Co, commented: "Winning the PEA's award was a major milestone for The Great British Biscotti Co, an achievement that we're immensely proud of. The PEAs are a gathering of leading lights and that's enabled us to introduce a truly unique product to the catering market."

Michael Eyre, product director of Jestic Foodservice who won a trophy in 2017 said, "We were thrilled to have the Henny Penny Velocity nominated for the PEAs in the incredibly tough Frying, Ovens, Ranges and Grills category. To win it really was the cherry on the cake. It's also encouraging that something as focussed and relatively unknown as a pressure fryer can win this kind of award. This is testament to the width of vision shown by the judging panel to embrace such an unusual piece of equipment."
