HACCP, due diligence and health and safety procedures inform improvements to the hand-held Therma 20 Thermistor Thermometer for caterers and food producers.

The new ergonomic case has a Biomaster additive to inhibit bacterial growth while energy-saving technology includes a five-year minimum life for the three AA batteries and an auto power-off facility that kicks in after 10 minutes.

The Therma 20 will display temperatures from -39.9°C to +149.9°C in ambient temperatures down to -20°C, which meets the European Standard EN13485 for monitoring the temperature of quick-frozen foods.

The thermometer has a list price of £65 minus probe and incorporates a Lumberg connector to attach a wide range of interchangeable probes.
