Vegetable prep units and planetary mixer from Hobart

Stainless-steel knives and cutters allow Hobart's range of vegetable preparation units to slice, dice, grate, chop, or shred high volumes of vegetables, fruit, mushrooms, breads and cheese in minutes.

The 18 blades cover a wide range of sizes and thicknesses while the units provide two speed selections - for vegetables (350rpm) or for blending and emulsifying (1,500rpm).

Finger protection is provided by safety switches, an interlock to prevent operation if the plate is not secure, and a no-volt release that stops the machine from operating after a power cut until it is manually restarted.

The group's A200 planetary mixer (known as the Hobart) has remained virtually unchanged since it was launched more than 80 years ago. Available in bench-mounted or floor-standing models, the mixer rotates around its own axis and around the bowl, giving the beater increased contact with the ingredients for speedier mixing.

Features include a 22.8-litre capacity, 0.37kW motor and variable speed. It comes with a timer, a stainless steel bowl, a beater, a whip and a hook.
