All Apetito dishes are frozen at the point of preparation in order to lock in their freshness and nutrients.

The company supplies an extensive range of meals to the community, healthcare and education sectors with efforts to reduce salt, monosodium glutamate and hydrogenated vegetable oils, moderate fat content and ensure dietary requirements.

Designed for the healthcare sector are a range of ethnic, puréed and vegetarian options, plus the So Simple selection, which is suitable for patients with renal problems.

Examples of products for the healthcare sector include Beef in Mushroom Sauce, Broccoli and Cauliflower, Chicken Curry and White Rice, and the So Simple Poached Salmon.

A selection of 37 main-course dishes, including 10 vegetarian dishes, is available for the education sector in accordance with the Government's nutrient-based standards for school lunches.

The products are packed in easy-to-use 12-portion trays, except the vegetarian products, which are packed in three-portion trays.
