Light vegetable, roast chicken and cheese are the three most recent additions to Essential Cuisine's range of powdered stock mixes, now available through 3663.

Light vegetable is a delicate vegetable stock made with carrots, onions, celery, garlic and herbs.

Roast chicken stock provides all the characteristics of the roasting pan for use in all roasting recipes, jus and gravies.

Cheddar cheese stock can replace up to 75% of cheese in a cheese sauce. Suitable for cheesy mash, classic cheese sauce, bread and batter mixes and risottos, it can also be added to flour dusting mixes for goujons and used in vegetarian dishes.

The range, which also includes vegetable, chicken, beef, fish, lamb, ham, turkey and mushroom, contains just 3-4% naturally occurring fats, with no hydrogenated fats and no MSG, artificial colours or preservatives

Yield is 40-50 litres (800g), 35-45 litres (700g) using just 15-20g per litre and the powders have a shelf life of 12 months with no need to refrigerate after opening.

Other Essential products include Premier Jus in veal and lamb varieties, which have a mirror-like sheen and the viscous feel of a traditionally made jus, and Signature Beef Jus, pure beef stock reduced by two-thirds.
