Halen Môn, the Anglesey Sea Salt Company, harvests top-of-the-range organic sea salt from the Atlantic waters surrounding its base in Llanfair, Anglesey, and exports it to customers in 16 countries, including a "significant number" of the world's top 50 restaurants.
Newcomers included Fleur de Sel - its first seasonal organic sea salt, with a finer texture for customers who prefer less crunch; and the Oak Smoked Halen Môn, which can be teamed with steak, fish and poultry, or used as a dip for quails' eggs.
A roasted Fairtrade mix is among new organic spiced sea salts being trialled at trade fairs. The salts, which can be bought online, come in pack sizes ranging from 100g to 500g. Delivery charges - normally £7 - are waived on orders over £250.
