Whoopie Pies from Delice de France

The Whoopie Pie - a lunchbox favourite among the Pennsylvanian Amish community during the 19th century - is tipped to overtake the cupcake as a key driver of the UK cake and dessert market. Delice de France has launched six flavours for food service operators, sold in three mixed cases of 2 x 10 units with each 80-95g pie individually wrapped.

Classic Whoopies are soft flavoured mini-sponges filled with creamy fudge available in Belgian Chocolate or Victoria Sponge options. Strawberry and Lemon Whoopies are vanilla-flavoured sponges filled and topped with strawberry- or lemon-flavoured fudge, hand-decorated and topped with Belgian chocolate.

Mallow and Chocolate Whoopies include Mini Mallow Whoopies that are hand-decorated with mini marshmallows, and Chocolate Whoopies filled with a Belgian chocolate fudge made from 70% cocoa solids and topped with a chocolate-flavour coating and sugar strands. Once thawed, the pies have a three-day shelf life.
