Win a volcanic rock grill
Black Rock Grill is offering one lucky Buy It! reader a hot volcanic rock cooking system, worth over £5,000, for perfect summer barbecues. The winner will also receive the entire range of 13 Mari-Base marinades from Major International
Barbecues are great profit earners in the warmer months as customers make the most of the British summer and eat alfresco whenever possible. According to consumer research group TNS Worldpanel, the British enjoy more than 95 million barbecue occasions a year in a market worth £6.7b.
While the home version usually involves burgers and sausages, caterers have the opportunity to introduce consumers to a more sophisticated interpretation using flavours and techniques that go beyond the established boundaries.
There's really no limit to the type of foods that cook well on a barbecue or grill - steaks, home-made burgers, skewered meat and vegetables, asparagus, spatchcock chickens, fish and seafood such as salmon steaks, whole fish wrapped up in tin foil, razor clams, scallops cooked in the half shell, king prawns - the list is endless.
Chargrilled or barbecued food is traditionally done on a rack over hot coals (charcoal or lava rock). However, systems such as the Black Rock Grill use hot volcanic rocks to allow customers to cook food to their liking at the table.
Buy It! has teamed up with Black Rock Grill and Major International to offer readers the chance to win a Café Rock oven package worth over £5,000, together with a range of 13 Major International Mari-Base marinades.
