Winners of Taste of Kent Awards 2010 unveiled
The best food and drink suppliers from Kent have been named in the 2010 http://www.corinnescreativekitchen.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Taste of Kent Awards](http://www.tasteofkentawards.co.uk/).
Organised by local food champions [Produced in Kent](http://www.producedinkent.co.uk/index.shtml), the awards were presented at a ceremony at Leeds Castle last month hosted by John Warnett and Gemma Sterba, presenters on BBC Radio Kent's breakfast show.
"Not only are these entrepreneurs growing, producing or working with local ingredients, but they are helping to revive and maintain traditional Kentish food and drink and centuries-old production methods, but with cutting-edge, 21st-century technology," said Julie Monkman, manager of Produced in Kent.
The winners are:
Kent Restaurant of the Year The Secret Garden, Mersham Le Hatch, Ashford
Kent Dining Pub of the Year The Plough at Stalisfield Green
Kent Artisan Food Producer[Corinne's Creative Kitchen (Asian meals using local produce for local product for direct order, corporate events and retail)
Kent Food Product of the Year Kent Fine Foods (for its hand-made Lavender Jelly)
Kent Juice Producer of the YearOwlet Fruit Juice
Best Kent Cider Maker Wilkins Kennedy FKC
