ACORN SCHOLARSHIP 2017

The Acorn Scholarship, is an independent award created by previous winners of The Caterer’s Acorn Awards.

It’s now in its 14th year, and anunually presents a young manager, chef, HR manager, sommelier, or any young high-achiever involved in hospitality with the opportunity to make a name for themselves by presenting their skills and ambitions to some of the most respected names in the industry.

There is an annual prize worth more than £5,000 and the winner will become part of a prestigious Acorn Scholarship alumni.

The competition has been run by the Academy of Food & Wine Service for seven years and aims to acknowledge and reward the best in the industry – whether small individual boutique establishments, popular fine-dining sites or those part of a larger food and beverage operation.

Anyone who fulfils the role of a restaurant manager is welcome to enter. Your job title doesn’t have to be “restaurant manager” but you should be undertaking the typical work and activities associated with the role: responsibility for the business performance and co-ordinating the entire operation of the restaurant.
