Hotspots:  Every week we feature the best interior designs – whether it’s a new launch or just a great-looking refurbished space.   Email with high resolution landscape photos of the space and brief details of the venue and its location. If it works, we will get back to you for further details.

Minute on the Clock:  This is a weekly Q&A interview with an operator in any sector of hospitality. The focus will be on a recent news angle that the individual was involved with. Email

Loving Life in Hospitality:  This is a fortnightly Q&A with young hospitality professionals who have started at the bottom and risen through the ranks quickly. Part of The Caterer’s editorial awareness campaign, which aims to show young people, teachers and career advisers the excellent opportunities that exist in the hospitality sector.  Email

Career Moves:  A weekly round-up of recent appointments. Requirements: name of person/people changing roles; brief roundup of their career history to date and new role.  We need a high res (300dpi) colour head and shoulders photo of the subject, preferably not taken on a Smartphone.  Email

Suppliers’ Opinion:  We would like to hear from the industry’s suppliers – what are the issues keeping you and your clients awake at night?  Our products section provides a forum for these opinions via

Menuwatch:  Weekly spotlight on the leading menus from restaurants around the country.  All restaurants featured in Menuwatch go towards the Menu of the Year Catey.  Email

Wake up call: An article, usually supplied by a professional, on a legal scenario. It covers the law on the particular issue, expert advice and potential pitfalls operators must be aware of.  Email
