Host appoints Julie Chaffey as marketing manager
Host Contract Management has announced the appointment of Julie Chaffey to the role of marketing manager.
Chaffey joins the Hampshire-based business from local government where she worked in various roles including revenue generation and project management.
In addition to her extensive marketing experience, she has a strong background in e-marketing and sales, having established her own successful online retail business in 2007.
Tasked with developing the company's online and direct marketing strategy, Chaffey's key focus will be targeting Host's core markets of business and industry, healthcare and independent schools.
Host managing director and founder Jerry Brand said that Chaffey joins the business at a time when the company is concentrating on growth. "One of her main tasks will be getting the Host message out to potential clients and to raise the awareness of the skills and expertise we deliver," he added.
Chaffey said: "I'm very pleased to be joining at such an exciting time for the company. The groundwork has been established at Host with a strong team in place, and now we are forging ahead with plans to grow the company significantly over the next five years, offering clients a local service on a national basis."
Host currently has 85 contracts, but is this year aiming to take that total to over 100. Chaffey's appointment follows that of former Aramark chief executive Bill Toner, who joined the company at the end of November 2010 as non-executive chairman.
