Restructure at Harrison Catering sees three promotions
Harrison Catering has announced an operational restructure with the promotion of three members of the management team.
Nicola Turk has been appointed to general manager group schools and will assume management responsibility for the caterer's local authority contract with the London Borough of Wandsworth in addition to the a large group of standalone contracts across Lambeth and Southwark.
She will report directly to director of client services Gareth Harrison while continuing the development of the primary and special schools contract in the London Borough of Lambeth, which she has run for a number of years.
Richard Smith has been promoted to senior manager client services for business and industry and will now be responsible for all Harrison clients in this sector as well as supporting its new business development team.
Smith will retain responsibility for the company's largest B&I contract, the Carphone Warehouse/Talk Talk Group.
The third promotion went to Bill Graney who is now senior manager client services with special responsibility for business development in group schools. He has run the local authority contract for primary schools in Ealing since 2003 where recent figures show that meal uptake has grown 14.5% in 2009-10, compared to the 2.1% national average.
Geoffrey Harrison, founder and managing director of the independent caterer, said: "These structural changes will strengthen both operations and business development in group schools as well as bringing all of Harrison's business and industry clients together.
"Best practices will be able to be shared more effectively and we can continue to build on the growth that Harrison has enjoyed in both areas of the business."
