Science Museum announces its approved caterers list for 2012-13

Ampersand, Bubble Food and Jackson Gilmour are among the operators to make it on to the Science Museum's new approved caterers list for 2012-2014.

Rhubarb Food Design and Payne & Gunter were also selected after the visitor attraction carried out an extensive review process that involved a written tender as well as a tasting.

The 11 caterers were chosen for their point of difference, representing a diverse range of innovation, style, responsible hospitality measures and price.

Ben Lheureux, event operations manager at the Science Museum, who led the review process, said: "Our suppliers must combine bespoke creativity and flexibility with competitive pricing and world-class customer care.

"We have every confidence that our new caterers list can satisfy the needs of our clients while upholding the sustainability policies that the Science Museum is aligned with."

Jackson Gilmour marketing director Anne Aitken commented: "Science - especially physics and astronomy - is experiencing a major renaissance and we are pleased to be part of it.

"The Science Museum is strongly associated with invention, creativity and exploration and we know that many of our loyal clients will be delighted they can now work with us there."

Bubble Food managing director Michael Collins added: "We are delighted to have been retained by such a prestigious institution as the Science Museum. We look forward to creating yet more innovative and impactful events in this unique space over the coming months."
