Lenny Henry opens 600th Premier Inn

Premier Inn has celebrated the opening of its 600th hotel with the launch of an 87-bedroom property in Statford-upon-Avon.

Lenny Henry, who has become the public face of the UK's largest budget hotel brand, opened the property which is located in the centre of the town, five minutes walk from Shakespeare's birthplace. Henry is pictured holding 600 Premier Inn Monopoly hotels.

"I have been travelling around the UK on my current comedy tour and staying at Premier Inn along the way," he said. "I look forward to adding Stratford-upon-Avon to my list."

The hotel, which has a restaurant and bar, offers rooms from £29 per night.
