Premier Inn targets European customers through Amadeus GDS deal

Premier Inn is hoping to increase customer bookings from key markets including France, Spain, Italy and Germany after signing a distribution deal with global distribution system provider Amadeus.

The agreement, which will add 580 hotels and more than 42,000 rooms in the UK and Ireland to the system, will be completed by mid-August, when all Premier Inn content will be fully bookable by travel agents.

Signing up to Amadeus will help Premier Inn attract more business travellers, as rooms will now be accessible through more than 103,000 points of sale worldwide, the company said.

Premier Inn marketing director Gerard Tempest said: "Through Amadeus we've got a real-time data exchange to provide our content instantly to bookers all over the world.

"It's an extremely cost-effective solution and we are fortunate to be able to use the same provider for our revenue management and global distribution solutions."

Amadeus already provides Revenue Management Systems to all Premier Inn properties.
