Mandarin Oriental provides the best customer experience among the luxury hotels, according to a new survey by New York researcher Luxury Institute.
According to the US company's new Luxury Customer Experience Survey, wealthy customers, who voted for 11 luxury hotel brands in total, found the Oriental experience to be the best.
Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons tied for second place and St Regis was third.
Mandarin Oriental achieved the highest scores in brand effectiveness, brand attitude, brand environment, price worthiness, and customer retention and customer referrals.
The survey went to 2,100 homes with minimum gross annual incomes of $200,000 (£114,000) each.
