Admiral Taverns adds £35m worth of pubs to estate

Admiral Taverns has announced it is to buy 127 former Heritage Pub Company pubs for an estimated £35m from owner the Globe Pub Company.

The properties are located throughout the UK and will be integrated into Admiral's current estate.

After completion of the deal, Admiral will own 627 pubs, having previously picked up properties from Enterprise Inns, Punch Taverns and Greene King.

The company has purchased nearly 800 sites since it was formed in March 2004, sealing a 253-pub deal in May with Avebury Taverns.

Heritage was acquired by Robert Tchenguiz-backed Globe last month, and the company has kept hold of 104 pubs from the original deal.
