New man appointed to take Ignite Group international

Cocoon and Bumpkin owner Ignite Group has appointed Samir Kerchiched in the newly created role of operations and development director.

Kerchiched's experience extends to managing and opening Momo, Sketch and Club Gascon in London, as well Barrio Latino (part of Buddha Bar) in Paris and bars around the world. Part of his role will be to develop the Ignite brand internationally.

Matt Hermer, Ignite Group's managing director, said: "Samir's experience to date not only brings a wealth of knowledge to our existing brands but also illustrates Ignite's global ambitions."

In July the group recruited Jason Myers as managing director of its two-strong Bumpkin brand.

Ignite also owns private members' club Boujis and three-strong cocktail offer Eclipse, which has an outlet in Barcelona.
