Soho House & Co to launch Fox bar in Brixton

An underground drinking den inspired by the taverns of Chicago and New Orleans is to be opened by Soho House & Co tomorrow in Brixton, south London.

Fox bar will feature live music and DJ performances from Thursday to Saturday evenings, alongside weekly foosball tournaments and wings nights.

The cocktail list, with a focus of American whiskeys and rum, has been designed by Tom Kerr and Casey Sorensen, global bars manager and UK bars manager respectively of Soho House. Signature drinks will include Banana Penicillin, a banana infused Barcardi Oro with ginger, honey, lemon and peat, and Nitro Martini On Tap, an espresso martini on draft. Bar snacks, including chicken nuggets, chicken wings and crinkle cut fries, will also be available.

Fox bar will offer brunch from mid-November from 10am on the weekends, and a sharing roast on a Sunday. Menus created by Nick Jones, the founder of Soho House and 2015 Hotelier of the Year, will be based on dishes from the company's Chicken Shop and Dirty Burger brands.

Chicken served with a home-made smokey or hot sauce and burgers will be available alongside side dishes of crinkle-cut chips, sweet potato fries, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and butter lettuce and avocado salad. American-style desserts will include deep filled apple pie, chocolate brownie and lemon tart.
