Woody's owner changes from nightclubs to restaurants

West London nightclub Woody's has been put on the market for £1.9m.

Charlie McVeigh, the owner of the Westbourne Park club since 1999, is now overseeing a new restaurant project, which is set to open in West London later this year.

He said it will be based on a completely new site, that was not previously a restaurant, but declined to give any further details.

McVeigh also currently owns the Bush Bar and Grill in London's Shepherd's Bush, as well as Matilda restaurant in Battersea.

Regarding the end of his tenure at Woody's, McVeigh, 40, claimed he was "too old" to run it and that it was time to hand it down to a younger generation.
