Williams said it was time to "move on and explore new adventures".
Bryn Williams is to close Odette’s in London 16 years after taking full control of the restaurant.
The Welsh chef joined the restaurant in autumn 2006 after it reopened under the ownership of Vince Power. Two years later he bought the Primrose Hill site to become sole chef-proprietor.
Willams, who earlier this month announced plans to open a restaurant at the Theatr Clwyd in Mold, North Wales, said: “Sixteen years ago I bought Odette’s restaurant in Primrose Hill, it’s been my cooking home and I’ve loved every minute of it.
"Now, it’s time to move on and explore new adventures, so I have sold Odette’s and our last day of trading will be this Saturday 25th May.”
Williams added that he plans to spend more time in Wales, continuing to work on Porth Eirias in Colwyn Bay as well as the Touring Club in Penarth. Hew is also chef-patron at the Cambrian hotel in the Swiss Alps.
