Sixty-bedroom hotel plans for Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle has revealed plans to develop a new 60-bedroom hotel to be built in part of the existing main car park.

The proposed two-storey hotel would be built to the south-west of the castle site and linked to the Knight's Village restaurant by an elevated walkway.

There would be no dining facilities in the hotel as guests will use the Knight's Village restaurant. As a result owner Merlin Entertainments is also proposing to extend and reconfigure the restaurant to increase capacity for hotel diners. Once extended, it will serve the hotel, lodges, and glamping. The group also intends to submit proposals for an external decking area for alfresco eating in summer.

The plans are currently in consultation.
