Combi-oven that doesn't need control settings

Rational unveiled its SelfCooking Center (SCC) last week, claiming that the new product line would take care of the entire cooking process, allowing chefs more time for menu planning. The latest development in combi-oven technology means all that's required from the chef is to tell the oven what the food is and the desired end result, with no need to set any timers, temperatures or humidity controls although the ClimaPlus Combi controls are available at the touch of a button for chefs who want to specify and monitor the cooking process themselves.

The new oven cooks up to 15% faster than conventional combi-ovens, takes up 28% less space in the kitchen and, mindful of greater safety, has a maximum rack height of 1.6m. There are six sizes to choose from in both gas and electric options, and prices are the same as for the preceeding ClimaPlus Combi ovens, starting at £6,635.
