Eldridge Pope signs off in London

Eldridge Pope has sold its last two pubs in London as part
of its ongoing programme of disposals.

The Slurping Toad in Bishopsgate, London, has been sold to
PizzaExpress. The pub covers three levels (basement, ground and mezzanine) and
is held on a 35-year lease from January 1997, at a £75,000 a year rent.
PizzaExpress paid a "substantial" premium.

This was followed by the sale of the Pimlico Wine Vaults and
Wine Library in Upper Tachbrook Street, London, to unknown property developers
for over £1m.

In the financial year to date, Eldridge Pope's disposal
programme has raised £18.3m

Berkeley Simmons Davis was the agent representing Eldridge
Pope in both deals.
