While frozen chips dominate the catering industry, plenty of kitchens still prefer to make chips from fresh potatoes, on grounds of either cost or quality. In response, IMC has added the PC1 Chipper to its food-preparation equipment range.

 

The company claims that the PC1 is one of the fastest chippers on the market, able to process 25kg of chips in an hour. The unit has a choice of knife blocks which can be interchanged to cut chips of the desired thickness.

 

Individual blades can be replaced when worn or damaged, avoiding the need to replace the whole knife block.
