JURYS Doyle Hotel Group has recruited Margaret Holian to replace Cormac O'Keefe as general manager of Jurys Hotel Cardiff.
O'Keefe left the hotel after becoming involved in a legal wrangle with Jurys. The dispute has since been settled and O'Keefe is now looking for another job (Caterer, 13 May, page 14).
Holian, previously general manager of Jurys Hotel Limerick, is one of five employees to have taken on new managerial positions within the group.
Monica Friel, formerly general manager of Jurys Christchurch Inn in Dublin, has joined Jurys Custom House Inn in Dublin as manager. She has been replaced at Christchurch Inn by Edward Stephenson, who was general manager of Jurys Galway Inn.
Karen Cremins has left the Custom House Inn, where she was deputy manager, to take over the Galway Inn; and Aileen Phelan has become general manager of Jurys Hotel Limerick. She transfers from Jurys Hotel Cork, where she was deputy manager.
Following Jurys' takeover of Doyle Hotels, Joe Russell, previously deputy manager of Jurys Hotel Dublin, has been appointed general manager of the 200-bedroom five-star Berkeley Court hotel, also in Dublin.
