Pat Newman steps down as Cedabond company secretary

Pat Newman, the long-serving company secretary of buying group Cedabond, has announced her departure from the company at the end of this year.

Phil Martin, executive director for Cedabond, commented: "Both myself and the other members of the board tried very hard to get her to change her mind but, in true Pat style, she was determined to move on, so all we can do now is wish her the very best for the future and thank her for the tireless work she has done for Cedabond during nearly two decades.

"Pat has been a fantastic steadying influence during her 18 years with the company, effortlessly taking on board all the changes at Cedabond, particularly over the last few years and along with her day-to-day duties she has provided great support to the rest of the Cedabond team and, most recently, masterminded the new website.

A successor will be announced in due course.
