SEAN MURRAY has been appointed general manager of RF Hotels' the Lowry hotel, due to open in Manchester in April 2001. He was general manager of the Harbour Plaza hotel in Hong Kong.

NICOLAS JEFFORD has become deputy general manager of Slaley Hall hotel in Hexham, Northumberland. He was food and beverage manager of the Lygon Arms

hotel in Broadway, Worcestershire.

HEIMO LEITGEB has taken over as general manager of the Diplomat hotel in Bahrain. He was general manager of the Radisson SAS hotel in Kuwait City.

GLENN CARROLL has become group marketing director for the Metropolitan hotel, Halkin hotel, Circus apartments and Canary Riverside in London, and the Parrot Cay resort in the British West Indies, all owned by Como Investment Holdings. She was director of sales and marketing for Europe at Park Plaza Hotels.

CHRIS DOUGLAS has been appointed general manager of the Comfort Inn at Thetford in Norfolk. He was deputy manager of the Quality hotel in Edinburgh.

LESLEY STIRLING has been recruited as sales manager of the Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews, Fife. She was a project manager at incentive agency Maritz.

STEPHEN CARRUTHERS has taken over as general manager of the La Tasca Spanish tapas bar and restaurant in Deansgate, Manchester. He was operations manager of the Metropolitan restaurant in Didsbury, Greater Manchester. RICHARD ENGLISH has left his job as general manager of the Milwaukee Exchange Bar and Grill at Junction 27 of the M62 to become general manager of the La Tasca in Leeds.

NEAL JONES is transferring from his position of director of sales at the Marriott Hanbury Manor Hotel and Country Club in Ware, Hertfordshire, to become director of marketing at the JW Marriott Mirage resort in Cairo, which opens in June 2001.

LARBI ALLALI has become area vice-president for operations for Scotland and the North of England at Hilton. He was area director for the Midlands.

PATRICK CUNNINGHAM has taken over as regional director for London at the French-operated apartment hotel company Citadines. He was a regional general manager for Forte hotels.

SIAN HUGHES has been promoted to the position of corporate revenue

development manager at Choice Hotels Europe. She was general manager of the Quality hotel in Hatfield, where she has been replaced by JON KETT-REYNOLDS (above right). He was general manager of the Comfort Inn in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

SHEENA DOY is leaving the administrative and marketing department at Adnams brewers and hoteliers to emigrate to New Zealand. Also leaving the firm is DUDLEY CLARKE, responsible for public relations and events. 1240 11
