The College Arms, Lower Quinton, Warwickshire

Property agent Christie & Co is offering the chance to own a piece of history in the shape of Cotswolds inn the College Arms, formerly owned by Henry VIII.
The 16th-century building in the village of Lower Quinton, near Stratford-upon-Avon, was originally a farmhouse before becoming a pub in 1897, and is so named as it spent 400 years under the ownership of Magdalen College, Oxford. Current occupants Tony and Lynn Smith have owned it for 17 years.

The property has a lounge bar seating 60 customers, a refectory room seating 18, and a public bar seating 30. It comes with three-bedroom owner's accommodation and has four en suite letting bedrooms. Internal features include exposed Cotswold stone walls, exposed beams, flagstone flooring and open fireplaces. Food accounts for 40% of turnover.

Offers of more than £175,000 are invited for the remaining seven years of the lease. For more information, contact the Birmingham office of Christie & Co on 0121-456 1222.
