Edible spoons

 

Start-up firm Eddys has launched a sustainable, edible spoon in partnership with the After School Cookie Club. The spoons are made from amaranth, poppy, quinoa, chia and flax seeds, chosen for their depth of flavour, nutritional benefits and texture. The spoons are toasted and seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg, and can be served alongside savoury, sweet, hot or cold dishes – and then eaten after the dish is finished.

Gourmet gingerbread popcorn

 

Popcorn Kitchen has launched a gingerbread popcorn flavour. The snack brand hand-pops corn to make its popcorn, which is vegan, gluten-free and non-genetically modified. The 30g packs are sold in boxes of 12.

Versatile toasted sandwich grill

 

Foodservice Equipment Marketing has introduced the Prince Castle NCG9 Flat MultiFlex Contact Grill. Designed to meet the demands of busy sites, the NCG9 switches between a fully flat griddle and a top-heated contact grill. The ‘top heater off’ mode transforms the unit into a flat griddle or operators can add the top plate to transform it in to a grill, which can be heated to a different temperature than the bottom plate. The grill has a power of 2.8kW and measures 320mm wide by 470mm deep and 559mm high.

Added fibre and low-sugar protein balls

 

The Protein Ball Co has updated its recipes as part of a brand refresh. The bite-sized protein ball range now includes plant-based, added fibre and low-sugar varieties. The plant-based protein balls come in peanut butter, lemon and pistachio, and salted caramel flavours, while the high-fibre balls are in blueberry oat muffin, chocolate chip muffin and coffee oat muffin flavours. The low-sugar flavours are peanut butter, salted caramel and double chocolate.

Devon-based bakery Flapjackery has launched its first wholesale range, offering trade customers a 16-piece box of gluten-free flapjacks in three flavours: Traditional, Millionaires, and Clotted Cream Fudge. Each flapjack is individually wrapped and branded, ready as a till-side impulse buy or as part of a grab-and-go selection
