Arora Group has announced the luxury hotel it is developing in Windsor will be the third Fairmont property in the UK.
Due to open in the second half of 2020, the former 141-bedroom Savill Court Hotel & Spa is undergoing a multimillion-pound redevelopment to transform it into a luxury, 210-bedroom hotel.
It will launch under Accor’s luxury brand as the Fairmont Windsor Park, joining the Savoy in London, a Fairmont managed hotel, and Fairmont St Andrews.
The hotel will feature a 2,500 square metre spa and wellness area that will include an indoor lap pool and outdoor vitality pool, treatment rooms, salt room, Hammam and Japanese foot spa with views over a courtyard and fire pit.
Food and beverage outlets will include a tea lounge, restaurant and a Champagne bar, as well as an all-day dining venue, incorporating a private dining space and gin bar.
In one wing of the hotel, the property will offer 16 meeting rooms including an 800 square meter pillar-free ballroom with the capacity to cater events for up to 700 guests and two event spaces.
Surinder Arora, founder and chairman of Arora Group, said: “This is so much more than a hotel – the dining options, stunning spa facilities and event spaces on offer, all set in this beautiful country location, make it an unmissable experience. We are so proud to be opening in Windsor and to have the Fairmont brand added to our portfolio.”
Thomas Dubaere, chief operating officer of Accor Northern Europe, said: “The signing of Fairmont Windsor Park with Arora Hotels reflects our expertise in the luxury segment and is an extremely exciting addition to our luxury portfolio in the UK. The signing also underlines our ambitious regional expansion plans demonstrating the UK’s continued role as a key global market.”
Marc Dardenne, chief operating officer, luxury brands, Accor Europe, said the Fairmont brand was an “ideal match” for the hotel. Sinead Hughes, director of Grove Developments (the construction division of Arora Group) added the property would be a “high-quality luxury hotel in a country estate setting”.
Arora's 12-strong hotel portfolio includes the InterContinental London - The O2, the Hilton London Gatwick and the Sofitel London Heathrow.
