The Shepherd Mayfair will be managed by Hamilton Pyramid Europe, which also operates brands such as Hilton and Marriott
The former Park Lane Mews hotel in London’s Mayfair is set to relaunch as the Shepherd Mayfair hotel under new owners.
Bain Capital and Orka Investments Limited purchased the Stanhope Row site located just off Park Lane in 2021 and secured planning permission to create an 82-bedroom boutique hotel with 16 luxury residences across two restored Georgian townhouses in 2023.
The hotel resides within the historic Shepherd’s Market, spans 33,600 sq ft, and joins the Elegant Hotel Collection.
The Shepherd Mayfair, set to open later this year, will offer speakeasy cocktail bar Teddy’s, all-day brasserie Fayre, and the lobby café, which will serve artisan coffee, pastries and light lunches.
The hotel sits next to 36 and 37 Hertford Street Residences, which are formed of 16 one- and two-bedroom homes designed by studio Albion Nord.
The property will be delivered by real estate business CIT Group and design studios Buckley Gray Yeoman and Timothy Shepherd of Shepherd&.
It will be managed by Hamilton Pyramid Europe, which also operates brands such as Hilton, Marriott and Radisson Hotel Group.
Robert Mangan, operating partner at Bain Capital, said: “Our vision for the project was to revive the original Mayfair mansion, taking inspiration from the rich heritage of Shepherd’s Market and its fascinating past, to deliver a luxury boutique hotel that resonates with the expectations of today’s market.
“The Shepherd Mayfair is a truly unique property and will be one of the neighbourhood’s final freehold hospitality and real estate projects, bringing a new offering to both Londoners and international visitors.”
