The restaurants are listed alongside Hiræth in Cardiff and Toklas in London
Dear Jackie at the Broadwick Soho and Farm Caff in Castle Cary are among eight new restaurants that have been added to the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland’s listings this month.
The Guide praised the maximalist basement restaurant at the flamboyant Broadwick Soho hotel for its “Italian-inspired dishes that are equally attractive… with top ingredients and a skilled hand in the kitchen”. These are served on hand-painted plates by Michaela Gall themed around the history, royalty, Soho and food.
Meanwhile, modern British diner Farm Caff in Castle Cary was recognised for its “lip-smackingly delicious” food served within the team’s regenerative farm.
Other additions included Spirit Group’s Greek restaurant Krokodilos, which launched late last year in London’s Kensington, as well as traditional British pub the Rum Fox in the Ribble Valley, which serves the likes of ox cheek, mushroom and onion suet pudding.
Michelin updates its recommendations each month based on its inspectors’ travels, with any additions highlighted by a ‘New’ symbol.
It does not confirm if the restaurants will receive a star, Bib Gourmand or any other awards until the formal Michelin Guide ceremony.
