Sarah Rhone joins as operations director, while Becky McLaughlin has been named restaurant manager at the Michelin-starred Elystan Street
Rebecca Mascarenhas has announced two female staff appointments within her portfolio of London restaurants.
Sarah Rhone has been named operations director, responsible for four sites: the Michelin-starred Elystan Street in London’s Chelsea, the Michelin-starred Kitchen W8 in London’s Kensington, and Home SW15 and Home SW13, both in London’s Putney.
She had been with Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Ltd from 2021, initially at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Pétrus, and later at Restaurant 1890 at the Savoy, where she was general manager for three years.
Prior to that, she was also general manager of Elystan Street (2016-21), assistant general manager of the Square (2014-16) and head waitress at Lime Wood hotel in the New Forest (2012-14).
In addition, Becky McLaughlin has joined Elystan Street as restaurant manager, having also worked at 1890 at the Savoy alongside Rhone for the past three-and-a-half years.
Before this, she had worked at Elystan Street (2020-21) as restaurant supervisor and as head waitress at Simon Rogan’s Roganic in Hong Kong (2019-20).
Mascarenhas said: “Both Sarah and Becky know our restaurant culture very well from their past experience at Elystan Street. They also both bring superb operational and front-of-house skills, as well as a passion for great food and a strong spirit of team collaboration. Sarah, in particular, will be a huge support to me on the business side of the company.”
Mascarenhas co-owns Elystan Street and Kitchen W8 with chef Phil Howard and retains sole ownership of Italian restaurant Flour + Water in Putney.
