San Carlo Group to open Birmingham Selfridges Fumo

Italian restaurant company the San Carlo Group is launching a new restaurant and a Champagne and cocktail bar under its Fumo brand at Selfridges in Birmingham this autumn, its second Fumo in the city.

Like its other Fumo restaurants, the new site will serve seasonal Italian small plates. It will be located in Selfridges on the fourth floor overlooking the Birmingham Bullring, replacing Searcys Balcony Bar and Brasserie. The bar will serve cocktails and Laurent Perrier Champagne.

San Carlo is owned by the Distefano family, which owns 17 restaurants throughout the UK across its San Carlo, Cicchetti, Bottega, Gran Cafe, Fumo and Fiorentina brands. There are two existing Fumo sites, on Waterloo Street in Birmingham and in Manchester.
