He oversees the Pelham and the Gore in Kensington, as well as the Franklin in Knightsbridge
Stefano Squecco has been named cluster general manager of all three Starhotels Collezione properties in London.
He oversees the Pelham and the Gore in Kensington, as well as the Franklin in Knightsbridge, all of which combine Italian style with British heritage.
Squecco joins the collection from St James’s Hotel and Club in London and Blakes Hotel, London, where he was general manager. He has also worked as deputy general manager at Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa, which is part of the Exclusive Collection.
Over the years, he has held numerous international roles as F&B manager at Hotel Cipriani and director of operations at Molino Stucky Hilton in Venice and the Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria in Rome.
Squecco will be responsible for elevating the F&B offering at each Starhotels Collezione hotel through the launch of new dining concepts.
He said: “I am honoured to join Starhotels and lead these three prestigious London properties – each of which has its own unique charm and personality. With exciting developments ahead – including refreshed menus by our talented chef Frederick Forster at the Gore’s 190 Queen’s Gate restaurant, authentic culinary creations at the Pelham’s La Trattoria by Alfredo Russo, and the launch of a brand-new afternoon tea menu at the Franklin, and upcoming culinary innovations at the Franklin restaurant, also curated by Michelin-starred chef Alfredo Russo. I’m excited to work alongside our talented team to continue creating exceptional experiences and unforgettable moments for our guests.”
He has been working alongside J-J Pollak, hotel manager of the Gore, and Ryan Dunlop, hotel manager of the Pelham since January.
The Pelham is a 52-bedroom hotel designed by Kit Kemp and acquired by Starhotels in 2014, while the Franklin consists of 35 bedrooms designed by Anouska Hempel. The Gore has 50 bedrooms and was first established in 1892.
Starhotels Collezione is a private Italian hotel company with 31 properties and more than 4,200 rooms across Italy, London, Paris and New York.
