Tony Fleming has stepped down as executive chef and food and beverage director at L’Oscar, London to rejoin D&D London.
He undertook his last service at the 40-bedroom hotel in Holborn last night, after spending three years and eight months with the property.
Owned by Triangle Hotels and Resorts, the hotel opened in May 2018 following a £40m transformation of an Edwardian Baroque building, which was originally the headquarters of the Baptist Union.
Fleming will return to D&D next month, having previously spent four years as executive chef of the company's South Place hotel in the City of London as executive chef. He previously spent five years each as executive chef and head chef at One Aldwych and Great Eastern hotel respectively.
Fleming, who announced the news of his departure from L’Oscar on Facebook, told The Caterer that he will initially move to D&D at Le Pont de la Tour, where he will reinvigorate the restaurant’s food offer. “Then in a year or so I’ll help new openings and projects.”
