The owners of the Michelin Guide-listed fine dining restaurant have urged its final guests to book within the next six months
The owners of the Michelin Guide-listed Restaurant Örme in Urmston, Manchester, have announced plans to sell and close the site.
In a post on Instagram, Tom Wilson, Rachel Roberts and chef-patron Jack Fields said the long-term sustainability of the business had become “unfeasible” in the face of “significant economic pressures”.
As the restaurant approaches a break in its lease, the trio said: “We have been presented with an opportunity to thoughtfully consider our circumstances and reflect on what lies ahead.”
They added: “As we navigate through this process, we can’t yet declare an official date of closure, therefore if you have existing vouchers with a valid expiry date, we urge you to book in within the next six months. New voucher sales have been suspended.
“It has been a pleasure serving this wonderful community and beyond. We have had so much to celebrate over the last three years and will cherish the memories and experiences we have shared.”
Restaurant Örme opened in 2023 as a British fine dining venue serving both tasting menus and à la carte with a Nordic twist.
Michelin praised the restaurant for its “attractively presented dishes” serving up “bold, vibrant flavours with a mix of the classic and the modern”.
In the last quarter of 2025, Britain’s licensed hospitality sector was hit with four closures a day.
