The award, now in its 39th year, recognises the sector’s rising stars under the age of 30
With just over one week left to nominate your rising star for The Caterer’s 2025 Acorn Awards, time is ticking to get your entries in now.
The Acorn Awards, Now in their 39th year, are organised by The Caterer in partnership with CH&Co and will be held at the Dakota hotel in Manchester.
The awards provide winners with the acknowledgement of which they are so deserving – not to mention the recognition that can propel careers, as these six Acorns, including Tommy Banks and Sarah Frankland, explain what winning the award did for their careers.
And, with almost 40 years’ worth of Acorn winners, we have seen a range of people with highly varied roles and responsibilities take to the stage to receive their award. There is no one ‘type’ of Acorn, as these four previous winners prove.
Liam Hatcher, head of people and development at CH&Co, said: “There’s just one week left to get your nominations in and, to all managers and leaders across hospitality, I urge you to take the time to put your rising stars forward and play your part in recognising, celebrating and nurturing our future leaders.
“The benefits it can bring nominees in motivation, confidence and drive to succeed is immeasurable – which is fantastic for them, your business and our industry. I hope to see you and your nominee at the Acorn Awards winners’ weekend!”
There are only three criteria to nominate someone for an Acorn Award: they must work in the hospitality industry; be under the age of 30 on 2 June 2025; and be available for the winners’ weekend which will take place at Dakota hotel Manchester on Sunday 1 and Monday 2 June 2025.
