InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced a fourth Hotel Indigo for London, following the signing of a franchise deal with Criterion Capital.
Located in Leicester Square, the 95-bedroom property, which will feature a rooftop bar and restaurant, will become the 11th hotel in the UK to join the boutique brand. It is IHG's first venture with real estate asset management company Criterion Capital and is due to open by the end of the year.
Michael North, head of hotels, Criterion Capital added: âIt was important for us to partner with an operator that could offer us such a strong brand, and Leicester Square has its own personality and neighbourhood story, which is why Hotel Indigo is the perfect fit for the area.â
Criterion Capital owns an extensive property portfolio which includes the London hotels: Sherlock Holmes in Baker Street, Ibis in Wembley and St Giles in Tottenham Court Road.
Launched in 2004, Hotel Indigo currently has 75 hotels worldwide and a further 76 in the pipeline. The existing Hotel Indigo properties in London are in Paddington, Earls Court and Tower Hill.
New Hotel Indigos set for the UK include a 96-bedroom property in Dundee (2018) and 187-bedroom property at Victoria Station, Manchester (2019).
