Hyatt says new lifestyle brand will inspire personal connections

Hyatt has announced the launch of a new select service lifestyle hotel brand that aims to “bring people closer together”.

Caption by Hyatt will become the 20th brand in the Hyatt portfolio, which comprises a total of 875 properties across more than 60 countries worldwide.

Danny Meyer’s New York-based Union Square Hospitality Group has consulted on the design and curation of a food and beverage concept for the brand, which is described as “a vibrant mash-up between café, market and bar”.

Heather Geisler, vice-president of global brands, Hyatt, said: “At Hyatt, we believe in the power of personal connection.

“By listening to our guests, we know that whether they are travelling alone or with a friend, they are looking to connect with others in an environment that is authentic and approachable. The Caption by Hyatt brand will invite guests and locals alike to hang out, enjoy a cocktail and catch up with a friend, new or old, in a space that is intended for them.”
