It comes as the short-term rental platform aims to offer more hotel-style amenities
Jamie Oliver is among the celebrity chefs who have partnered with Airbnb to offer a series of exclusive chef’s table experiences.
The short-term rental platform launched Airbnb Originals and Airbnb Services in May in a bid to rival hotel room service, gyms, spas and cultural programming.
The latest additions to the Airbnb Originals line-up – dubbed “the most extraordinary experiences hosted by the world’s greatest icons” – include Oliver in London, Chris Bianco in Los Angeles, and Atsushi Tanaka in Paris.
These experiences, priced at roughly £150 per guest, are run in partnership with Netflix original series Chef’s Table, which Oliver starred in this April.
As part of the agreement, Oliver will offer a 1.5 hour pesto and pasta-making class and a TV studio tour for Airbnb guests in London.
He joins the likes of chef Shuko Oda of Koya in London’s Soho, chef Elliot Hashtroudi of Camille in London’s Borough Market and sommelier Sandia Chang of the two-Michelin-starred Kitchen Table in London’s Fitzrovia, who already offer Airbnb Chef’s Table experiences.
Dave Stephenson, chief business officer at Airbnb, said: “Together, we’re taking Chef’s Table and its signature storytelling beyond the screen and bringing it into the real world. It’s not just the best way to learn about a place’s cultural heritage through food but also to experience it with some of the most famous chefs shaping it.”
Justin Connor, Chef’s Table Projects president, added: “Chef’s Table has been sharing important culinary stories on Netflix for the last decade, and we’ve long dreamed of finding a way for people to experience them first-hand. We’re excited to partner with Airbnb to bring this vision to life – curating immersive culinary experiences around the world for guests to discover regional food culture and step into the story.”
During a 2025 Q2 earnings call last month, Airbnb chief executive Brian Chesky described its new experiential offering as the company’s “biggest launch to date”.
Airbnb was founded in in 2008 by Chesky, Joe Gebbia and Nathan Blecharczyk as Air Bed and Breakfast. It now operates over eight million listings across more than 220 countries and regions.
