Jessica Tapfar appointed hotel manager at the Ned

Jessica Tapfar has joined the Ned hotel in the City of London as hotel manager from the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, where she was director of operations for four years.

Tapfar graduated from Cornell School of Hotel Administration with a Bachelor of Science in 2012 and started her career at the Waldorf Astoria New York in June 2012. After completing the management development program, she held various positions at the property, including senior front office manager, director of guest services and director of operations of the Towers of the Waldorf Astoria, a boutique hotel within the property.

On joining the Ned – a 250-bedroom hotel, members' club and collection of restaurants from Soho House & Co – she said: "While the building and operation itself is so big, we have the ability to make each guest feel special with our interactions."

She replaces David Lockhart, who joined the Mondrian Shoreditch London in the summer as general manager.
