Kevin Robinson has been appointed chief operating officer at Langham Hospitality Group.
It marks a homecoming of sorts for Robinson, who previously led the Langham, Chicago during its pre-opening phase in 2011.
He brings more than 30 years’ industry experience to the role, having held hospitality leadership positions at the likes of Westin and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
He also founded boutique hotel company Aparium Hotel Group before becoming an advisor for a selection of independent luxury hotels in the US.
At Langham Hospitality Group, Robinson will be responsible for day-to-day operations across the collection’s more than 30-strong portfolio and oversee future hotel openings.
Bob van den Oord, chief executive of Langham Hospitality Group, who was the group’s first COO back in 2020, said: “Kevin’s industry expertise and proven ability to build relationships with hotel owners and create and implement new guest offerings make him the ideal leader to guide our operations.
“His blend of corporate discipline and entrepreneurial agility aligns perfectly with our global growth strategy, which centres on increasing our managed property count to 100 hotels by 2040 while continuing to strengthen our ties with clients and deliver elevated hospitality experiences.”
A subsidiary of Great Eagle Holdings, Langham Hospitality Group operates a portfolio of hotels under the Langham Hotels and Resorts, Cordis Hotels, Eaton and Ying’nFlo brands.
The group takes its name from its flagship, the Langham, London (pictured), which opened in 1865.
