The four pubs, in Surrey, Hampshire, the Cotswolds and Berkshire, will come under the name of the Linwood Collection
Coppa Club and Noci operator Various Eateries has agreed a deal to buy four pubs with rooms from Grosvenor Pubs and Inns for £11.25m.
The group, which was founded in 2014 by Hugh Osmond, will take on Wild Thyme & Honey in the Cotswolds, the Hare & Hounds in Berkshire, the Stag on the River in Surrey and the Wellington Arms in Hampshire.
Following the acquisitions the business will change its name to the Coppa Collective.
Together, the four sites, which reported revenue of £10.5m for 2025 and site-level earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation of £1.5m, will form a third brand for the newly formed Coppa Collective, the Linwood Collection.
Various Eateries has also agreed to add a fifth site to the group. The Queen’s Head in Surrey, which is subject to an asset of community value process, will join the Linwood Collection once the relevant notification period has expired, which is likely to be six weeks.
Various Eateries said the pubs had a clear cultural fit with the existing estate and that they were high-quality venues with strong local reputations.
The acquisition is being funded through a £15m debt facility with HSBC, comprising an £8m three-year term facility with a seven-year amortisation profile and a £7m revolving credit facility.
Mark Loughborough, Various Eateries chief executive, said: “Linwood marks an important step in the evolution of the Group. We are bringing into the business a small collection of premium pubs with rooms that have earned their reputations the right way, through great hospitality, careful attention to detail and a real sense of place. They are destinations with loyal followings, and our priority is straightforward: protect what people already love about them and build from there.
“This is also a format we know well and rate highly in the current market. Premium pubs with rooms combine food and drink with accommodation and a broader, destination-led appeal. Done well, that mix can deliver resilience and attractive economics, and we believe these sites have the quality to do exactly that.”
Loughborough said: “We are building momentum, we have a clearer playbook and we are ready to act when high-quality opportunities arise on the right terms. Alongside Coppa Club and Noci, Linwood broadens the group in a way that fits our culture and our ambition. As Coppa Collective, we will be clearer about the breadth of what we are building, and I am excited to welcome new colleagues and new guests into the group.”
