MasterChef: The Professionals 2017 winner Craig Johnston has joined Marcus Wareing's two-Michelin-starred restaurant at the Berkeley hotel in London.

Until recently, Johnston was sous chef at the Michelin-starred Royal Oak Paley Street near Maidenhead in Berkshire. He joined the 74-cover Marcus at the Berkeley in Belgravia yesterday as a senior chef de partie under chef-patrons Mark and Shauna Froydenlund.

"We are thrilled to announce that last year's MasterChef winner, Craig Johnston, has joined our incredible team," tweeted Wareing. "We are really excited to have this hugely talented chef join us!"
